Jackals All-Stars Contribute In American Conference Win

Elmira Jackals rookie center Justin Donati ended Wednesday night's 2010 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Reebok and brought to you by Toyota and the City of Ontario with a goal in the shootout to give the American Conference a 10-9 victory. Jackals rookie winger Maxime Gratchev had two assists in the contest as well.

With the American Conference trailing late at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., Gratchev garnered his second assist of the game on Johnstown Chiefs forward Connor Shields' goal at 17:24 of the third period to even the score 9-9.

The game went through overtime and into a shootout, and Justin Donati shot the puck past Idaho Steelheads goaltender Richard Bachman in the fourth round, ending the All-Star Game and giving the American Conference a win for the second straight season.

The Jackals are in action on Friday and Saturday night in Toledo as they take on the Walleye.

After this weekend, the Jackals return home for a hat trick weekend of hockey, as the Jackals host the Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 29 and 31 at 7:35 p.m., and the Walleye on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 4:05 p.m.
