Condors Acquire Davey; Regan Returns, Pokulok Leaves

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced today the Ducks reassigned D Eric Reganto the Condors, from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL). Plus, the Condors have acquired D Bobby Daveyfrom the Stockton Thunder in exchange for future considerations. Additionally, D Sasha Pokulokhas signed a professional tryout (PTO) with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL.

Regan, 21, recently represented Bakersfield on the National Conference Team at the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game inOntario, placing fourth in the fastest skater event during theSkills Competition. He is among ECHL defensemen scoring leaders with nine goals (t-3rd), five power play goals (t-2nd) and four game-winning goals (2nd) in 30 games. He participated in five games with the Rampage this season, registering no points, 6 penalty minutes and a +1. Regan spent the 2008-09 season with the Iowa Chops of the AHL, registering eight points (1g-7a) in 59 games.

Davey, 22, played in seven games with Stockton this season, compiling no points and 17 penalty minutes. The West Hill, Ontario, native split the 2008-09 season between Fresno and Reading, picking uptwo assists and 119 penalty minutes. At 6-foot, 1-inch and 201 pounds, Davey played in 240 games in the Ontario Hockey League as a junior, producing 23 points (4g-19a) and 682 penalty minutes. He led the Sarnia Sting in 2006-07 and the Peterborough Petes in 2007-08 in penalty minutes with 227 and 200, respectively.

Pokulok,23, also participated in the 2010 ECHL All-Star game, registering a 101.5 MPH shot during the Hardest Shot competition, placing second. He ranks among ECHL defensemen scoring leaders with 25 points (T-4th), 10 goals (2nd), five power play goals (t-2nd) and 14.9% shooting percentage (2nd). Pokulok has played in 33 games in the AHL throughout his career, all with the Hershey Bears, producing seven points (1g-6a). He will become the eighth Condors player to skate in the AHL or the National Hockey League this season.

The Condors host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday and Saturday before heading up to Stockton to take on the Thunder on Sunday. Friday's game is L.A. The 10-foot tall inflatable animal/athlete mascots are a Bakersfield favorite and this year will be represented by Bobby Orrangutang, Peyton Manatee, Derek Cheetah, Ken Giraffey Jr., Shaquille O'Seal and Tiger Woodschuck.

Sunday's game from Stockton Arena begins at 4 p.m. Due to a conflict with the NFC Playoff Game on Sunday on ESPN Radio, the game in Stockton will be broadcast on ESPN's sister station, KERN 1180. Tune in for Condors Countdown starting at 3:45 p.m.
