Odessa Jackalopes News Release
ODESSA, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes split their weekend set at Texas, but are now 5-0-1 in their last six games to earn points in the standings in each of those contests. Odessa currently sits third in the CHL's Berry Conference entering the all-star break, two points ahead of Texas and Tulsa.

Friday at Texas, 5-3 Win
Dave Van Drunen scored late in the third period for the game-winner and Patrick Mbaraga added an empty-net goal to seal the win as the Jacks topped Texas for the second time this year. The Brahmas scored all three of their goals in the third period to make it a tight contest, but the Jacks held on.
Saturday at Texas, 4-3 (OT) Loss
The Brahmas scored two goals in the third period to force overtime at 3-3, where Chad Woollard won it for the Brahmas just a minute in. Alex Dunn, Darryl Bootland, and Kenny Bernard each scored for the Jacks in the loss. David McKee remained perfect in regulation since joining the Jackalopes at 2-0-1 in net.

The rodeo road trip continues for the Jackalopes with a two-game set at Colorado. The weekend's games will be the fourth and fifth meetings of the season between the Jacks and Eagles. Colorado won two of the first three. The Jackalopes topped the Eagles in overtime, 3-2, in their last battle against Colorado. The Jacks have won just once in 11 games at the Budweiser Events Center in franchise history.
NOTES FOR THE WEEK
Sebastien Thinel's assist at Texas on Saturday extended his point streak to seven games and was also the 650th point of his pro career.Todd Robinson is one goal away from 300 in his pro career.In all four of their losses to the Brahmas this season the Jackalopes held a lead entering the third period.Since the start of December, the Jackalopes are 10-3-2 in 15 games.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The team is currently in the middle of its 14th season.
