Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers, members of the United States Hockey League announced today they have signed forward Jack Randl to a tender for the 2016-2017 season. Randl becomes the second tendered player for the Lancers' upcoming season.

The 2000-birth-year is committed to the University of Michigan and has been in the Chicago Mission program for the past three seasons. "I think Omaha is the best organization in the USHL and it is an honor to sign a tender with them," said Randl. "I know there is a great tradition in Omaha. The coaches are awesome and everyone I have met has been great. The facilities are really nice and the fans are loyal. I'm excited to be part of the Lancers. It's a great fit for me as a player and as a young man."

Randl, a Carpentersville, Illinois native, helped the Chicago Mission win both the Illinois State Championship and the Regional Championship that took place at Ralston Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The Mission followed that up with a trip to the National Tournament in San Jose, California.

"Jack's game should translate well at our level," said Omaha Lancers head coach Brian Kaufman. "He's a big, strong forward who skates well and has the ability to make plays with the puck. Every time our staff watched him he had a big impact on the game with and without the puck. His competitiveness and his desire to win are characteristics that we look for and want in our players. We feel very fortunate to have signed Jack to a tender and want to welcome him to our organization."

On November 2, 2015, Randl announced his commitment to University of Michigan. Prior to his commitment, Randl was a standout at the USA Select Camp last summer. "I feel my game is pretty well rounded," added Randl. "I bring high energy, high compete, skill, physicality, and a 200-foot game." While at the USA Select Camp, Randl scored four goals and assisted another in five games. He also earned an invitation to the NTDP evaluation camp.

"The USHL is a great league and getting better every year," Randl finished. "I look forward to developing here."
