Madison Capitols News Release
Jack Musa has announced his commitment to the University of Massachusetts. Musa, a native of Mirimar Lakes, Florida, is in his second season in the USHL, both with the Capitols.
In nine games this season, Musa has recorded ten points, which includes six goals. His performance thus far brings him into third place on the team in points and second place on the team in goals. Of his six goals, four have came on the power play, which ranks Musa in a tie for second in the league in that category. Musa led returning players in points last season with 35 over 57 games played. That total included 19 goals, which ranked in a tie for fourth on the team in 2021-22.
With the commitment, Musa will be joining the UMass Minutemen who play in Hockey East following his junior hockey career. UMass has been a program very much on the rise under head coach Greg Carvel. Carvel has led the Minutemen to the past three NCAA tournaments, including two Frozen Fours, and the 2021 National Championship.
