Scorpions host Corpus Christi tomorrow in Home Opener   ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Scorpions begin their ninth season of hockey at Tingley Coliseum tomorrow night when they host the Corpus Christi Rayz.  Faceoff is 7:05 p.m.  The Scorpions opened 2004-05 Central Hockey League play last weekend by splitting a pair of games on the road, winning 4-3 at Tulsa in the season opener last Friday before falling at Wichita 6-4 on Saturday.   Various events are planned for the weekend.  Tomorrow's game is Crystal Springs Magnetic Schedule Night to the first 2,500 fans while Saturday's contest against the Memphis RiverKings is Dodge Randy Murphy Bobblehead Night to the first 1,500 spectators.  Both games are part of Tucanos Hawaiian Luau, which will feature pregame parties and prize giveaways during both of the weekend's games.  Tickets are no longer available for the pregame parties, but good seats remain for both Friday and Saturday's games.   Saturday's game will also serve as a Collection Drive for the New Mexico Blue Star Mothers.  Membership in Blue Star Mothers is open to mothers who have sons or daughters serving in the military during time of war whether deployed or not, and to fathers, other family members, and friends.  A full list of items is available below.   Both games this weekend will be broadcast on SportsRadio 610 The Sports Animal and on the Internet at www.scorpionshockey.com and www.broadcastmonsters.com.   Air time is 6:50 p.m. with the Voice of the Scorpions Mike Sheehan.   Tickets for all Scorpions home games are available at the Scorpions Team Store, located at 6300 San Mateo NE at the corner of San Mateo and Academy in the Far North Shopping Center, and any TicketMaster outlet.  Single-game tickets for the 2004-2005 CHL season start at $11 while season tickets start as low as $320.  Both are on sale NOW!    In addition, ten-game packages and Scorpions voucher books are available starting at $110.  Full season ticket packages also include a free entry into the Scorps Rewards prize pool.  A full list of prizes is available at www.scorpionshockey.com.  For more information, call the Scorpions office at (505) 881-PUCK (7825).
