Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers take on the Calgary Stampeders. Kickoff is 3:00 pm on TSN.

The Bombers travel to Calgary to face the Stampeders today in the final game of 2014 for Winnipeg. The team is playing for pride this week, and the players have been giving their all in practice this week to end the season on a winning note! A number of Winnipeg players are among the league leaders in various categories and can improve their numbers against Calgary:

QB Drew Willy needs only 253 passing yards to reach 4,000 on the season, and he remains in 2nd place in the CFL for passing yards, 639 back of league leader, Ricky Ray of Toronto.

LB Ian Wild was #3 in the CFL in tackles last week piling up 9 vs BC in the 28-23 loss. He has led the entire CFL in two separate weeks and tops the club with 70 to date. His 5.4 per game averages puts him at #3 in the league.

WR Clarence Denmark is second in the league in receiving yards with 1,022, only 248 back of CFL leader Adarius Bowman of Edmonton.

RB Paris Cotton comes into this game off of two straight 100-yard games. He led the entire CFL last week with 131 rushing yards, and is now one of only two players with back-to-back 100-yard games in 2014.
