Aberdeen Wings News Release
The Aberdeen Wings (21-26-11) will close out the 2015-2016 regular season this weekend when they travel to take on the Austin Bruins (28-26-4) Friday and Saturday at Riverside Arena. The Wings are within 1 point of the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central Division. The only issue with that is that Brookings and Minnesota have the one point lead and hold the tie breakers. With that in mind Aberdeen still has a good if not the better chance of jumping the two teams and getting into the playoffs. Aberdeen will play 3rd place Austin who cannot move up or down in the standings no matter what the outcomes this weekend. Brookings who currently would be in the playoffs has to play 2nd place Minot who is fighting for the Central Division Title with Bismarck who plays the Magicians. Without a doubt the Central will be watched by the entire league this weekend to see how everything plays out. At this point in the season with this much on the line you might as well forget the last 58 games, because the season is coming down to games 59 & 60! You can watch both Friday and Saturday nights games on fasthockey.com or head to Minerva's and watch it at the bar! As always tune into 94.1 the ROCK or hubcityradio.com to stream the game!
