The Albuquerque Isotopes have been named the recipient of John H. Johnson President's Trophy for the Pacific Coast League and are now a finalist for the overall Minor League Baseball award. The award is presented annually to honor the complete Minor League Baseball franchise based on franchise stability, contributions to league stability, contributions to baseball in the community, and promotion of the baseball industry.

"We are extremely humbled to be nominated for Minor League Baseball's most prestigous award," says Isotopes General Manager John Traub. "Being nominated is a credit to the great support that the fans and community have given us and to the success of the entire organization."

The award is named after former Minor League Baseball President John H. Johnson, who served in many capacities over 24 years in the New York Yankees front office, including General Manager. The winner will receive the award at the Baseball Winter Meetings in Anaheim in December.

In the franchise's first two seasons, Albuquerque has welcomed nearly 1.2 million fans to Isotopes Park, finishing in top 10 of over 160 Minor League Baseball teams in attendance both seasons. The Isotopes Season Ticket base and corporate sponsorship base both increased by 20% in 2004 and the Isotopes merchandise continues to be among the Minor League leaders in sales.

Albuquerque opens the 2005 schedule at home April 7 vs. Iowa. Season Tickets for the 2005 campaign are currently on sale at 924-2255.
