Hawaiian Islanders News Release

MILILANI – After a thrilling 55-54 overtime victory over the San Diego Riptide last week, Hawaiian Islanders players Andy Ramos, Nate Jackson, Keiki Misipeka, Aaron Smith, James Davis, Gusto the Gecko and the Islanders Girls made an appearance at Long John Silver's free Giant Shrimp event at the Town Center at Mililani.

The event celebrated Long John Silver's promise to America after NASA's Rover found evidence of ocean water on Mars in March 2004. In celebration of this milestone discovery, Long John Silver's across the U.S. gave away free Giant Shrimp on Monday between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Hundreds of seafood fans turned out at its Mililani location where the free Giant Shrimp event took place with festivities which included autograph sessions and fun with the Hawaiian Islanders arena football players and cheerleaders.

The new Giant Shrimp is the largest shrimp Long John Silver's has ever served, measuring at least five inches. It features the popular secret batter that has made Long John Silver's famous for fish, shrimp and chicken for 35 years.

In Hawaii, seafood fans can get their fill at Long John Silver's two Oahu locations, one in the Moanalua Shopping Center and at the company's NEW flagship restaurant at the Town Center of Mililani.
