THE STAKES: The Battle Wings have been close in all but one loss. The coaches say it is very possible for the Bossier-Shreveport squad to step up and make a big statement against the Vipers tonight by hanging in there for four quarters of football.
THE SERIES: The two teams put a total of 175 points on the board in two meetings last year.
THE IFs:
· If Bossier-Shreveport can win it would give the Wings a 3-4 record.
· If the Wings win, it would be their first road win of the season, and the first road win since July 7, 2002, when they defeated Peoria 60-40.

HEAD COACHES: First-year Battle Wings head coach Keith Barefield's resume includes 19 years in the field, 10 as head coach at Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he compiled a 66-33-2 record. He coached 48 All-Americans before moving to San Antonio's Cornerstone Christian School to begin the football program there. While at Cornerstone, Barefield compiled a 23-2 record in two years at the helm including the 2002 Texas state championship.
Just recently, Barefield has been named the offensive coordinator at national prep power Evangel Christian in Shreveport (1999 National Champions).
Tennessee Valley Vipers-Kevin Guy, the 2003 af2 Coach of the Year, is in his third season as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations for the Tennessee Valley Vipers. Last season, he led the Vipers to a record 14-0 start, the American Conference South Division title and a final 15-3 record.
Guy is 27-5 overall with Tennessee Valley and 1-2 in the playoffs. In 2003, Guy's squad went 8-0 at home during the regular season, boasted the league's third-ranked scoring offense (52.8 ppg.) and seventh-ranked defense (41.8 ppg.).
