Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs look to finish the three-game sweep of the Toledo Mud Hens on Sunday afternoon. First pitch from Fifth Third Field is set for 2:05 p.m.

RHP Jake Thompson (1-4, 4.06) will be on the bump for the Pigs in the series finale. The right-hander was dealt the loss on Tuesday at Columbus when he gave up four runs (none earned) on seven hits while walking one and fanning four in five innings of work. After posting a 6.16 ERA over four starts in April, Thompson has allowed just one earned run in his last 12.0 IP.

LHP Matt Boyd (1-2, 1.80) gets the ball for manager Lloyd McClendon's squad on Sunday. The Oregon State product got a no-decision on Tuesday vs. Louisville when he gave up four hits to go along with a walk and four strikeouts over 6.1 IP shutout IP. In fact, Boyd has not allowed a run over his last 14.1 IP for the Mud Hens.

With a double on Saturday night, Pigs catcher Andrew Knapp extended his hitting streak to five games. In that time, Knapp is hitting .333-1-2 (6-18, 2 2B, 2 BB, 3 R).
