BROOKLYN RIDING HOT:

The Cyclones (15-2) have won nine games in a row. Their last loss was to Aberdeen on June 27 in a 4-2 loss at Ripken Stadium. Aberdeen is currently 10 games back in the McNamara Division.

CAROLUS PERFECTION:

Levi Carolus went a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored, a triple and two RBI against Oneonta. Carolus became the second IronBird to record a four-run game, tying Blake Davis, who had four hits on June 21 at Hudson Valley.

ROAD WOES CONTINUE:

The ‘Birds have lost six games in a row on the road, dating back to Sunday June 28. Aberdeen's 5-4 loss to Oneonta drops the ‘Birds to 5-12 on the season. The ‘Birds will continue their seven game road trip with a three game series in Brookyln this evening.

D'OLEO'S STREAK ENDS:

Richard D'Oleo's nine-game hit streak ended last evening after going 0-for-4 against Oneonta. D'Oleo held the streak from June 27 against Brooklyn until last evening.

DALLES FEELING IT:

Justin Dalles, a sixth round selection in this year's draft, records his first professional hit streak after an RBI single on Friday July 3. Dalles went 2-for-4 in Saturday evening's contest.

SNAPPING THE SKID:

Aberdeen's 10-1 win on Friday evening snapped a five-game losing skid that dated back to Sunday June 28. Aberdeen improves to 5-9, while earning their first win since a 4-2 decision against Brooklyn on June 27. The bottom end of the order went 5-for-8 with six runs scored and six RBI. Catcher Justin Dalles also recorded his first professional hit with an RBI in the eighth inning.

MORELAND ON FIRE:

Right-hander Kenny Moreland improved to 3-0 after another outstanding performance against Oneonta on June 3. The Springfield, VA native has given up only one earn run in 18.0 innings pitched for the ‘Birds. Moreland holds a 0.50 ERA in three contests.
