Iowa's Curtis Stinson Named Performer Of The Week

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2010 - Iowa Energy point guard Curtis Stinson was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Feb. 15, 2010. The award is Stinston's first this season, and the second of his NBA D-League career.

Stinson led the Energy to a 3-0 record last week, including victories at Los Angeles, Idaho and Utah. During the week Stinson collected double-digit assists in all three victories, while scoring 16 points against Los Angeles and 13 points against Utah. For the week, Stinson averaged 12.7 points, 15.7 assists and 5.7 rebounds.

The NBA D-League's assist-leader this season, Stinson has appeared in 35 games, all starts, for Iowa this season and is averaging 14.5 points, 10.3 assists and 5.6 rebounds.

Other top performers last week included Reno's Rod Benson, who averaged 15.7 points and 10.7 rebounds in three games for the Bighorns; Rio Grande Valley's Will Conroy, who averaged 16.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 13.0 assists in two games for the Vipers; Springfield's JamesOn Curry, who averaged 26.5 points and 5.5 assists in two games for the Armor; Austin's Alonzo Gee, who averaged 27.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games for the Toros; Sioux Falls' Alexander Johnson, who averaged 18.0 points and 12.7 rebounds in three games for the Skyforce; Austin's Dwayne Jones, who averaged 26.7 points and 21.3 rebounds in three games for the Toros; Tulsa's Larry Owens, who had 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in one game for the 66ers; Iowa's Courtney Sims, who averaged 20.7 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games for the Energy; Sioux Falls' Reggie Williams, who averaged 28.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in three games for the Skyforce; and Bakersfield's Jeremy Wise, who averaged 27.0 points and 8.5 assists in two games for the Jam.
