D-League Announces Papa John's Pizza As Presenting Partner For Games On Versus

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2010 - The NBA Development League, the NBA's official minor league, today announced Papa John's as the presenting partner of NBA D-League games on VERSUS through the remainder of the 2010 regular season. Through this partnership, Papa John's will use its presence in NBA D-League game telecasts to bring "Papa to the House" and emphasize its "Better Ingredients. Better Pizza" brand image.
The partnership was launched Feb. 20 on VERSUS when the Sioux Falls Skyforce hosted the Dakota Wizards. NBA D-League regular season games air on VERSUS each Saturday at 11 p.m. ET with playoff coverage beginning on Saturday, April 10. All games are presented in HD.
"John Schnatter founded our company 26 years ago by starting small and dreaming big, knowing that every quality ingredient was important," said Andrew Varga, chief marketing officer for Papa John's International, Inc. "We share in the big dreams for the NBA D-League, its players and its markets. Through VERSUS' on-air telecasts we plan to bring `Papa's In The House' to this passionate sports community."

VERSUS' presentation of the NBA D-League coverage provides fans with greater access to the game and its players through enhanced microphones worn by players and coaches; in-game interviews; locker room access including pregame, halftime and postgame speeches; and innovative camera angles.
In addition to VERSUS' 16 NBA D-League games in 2010, the network is airing 25 hours of exciting NBA programming, featuring profiles of the league's top players as well as legendary players and coaches. Additional specials will highlight historic moments from recent regular seasons and playoffs.
