DES MOINES, IA, Nov. 26, 2008 - The Iowa Energy open the 2008-2009 NBA D-League regular season this Friday as they travel to the Sioux Falls Skyforce for a 7pm Central Division showdown. The Energy continue their road trip with a game at Dakota on Saturday before returning to Des Moines for the home opener on Thursday, December 4th.

"It's never easy to start off on the road, but this will be a great test against two teams that many consider the favorites to win the D-League title," said Energy Head Coach Nick Nurse. "Sioux Falls has several former and future NBA players and might have more talent than anyone in the league. We are going to make the trip and see where we stand."

The Energy and Skyforce split their season series last year, with each team winning four games. Both teams opened the 2008-2009 year with preseason victories last week. The Energy beat Tulsa 100-89 in their preseason game while Sioux Falls defeated Dakota.

All 50 Iowa Energy games can be viewed live, free of charge via the NBA D-Leagues "Futurecast" web-streaming initiative. To watch this weekend's games on your computer, visit the Energy website at www.iowanba.com.

Single game tickets are available now available for all 24 Energy home games by visiting www.iowanba.com or visiting the Wells Fargo Arena box office.
