Iowa Energy Head Coach Bob Donewald, Jr. Joins Grizzlies Summer League Coaching Staff

Des Moines, Iowa - The Memphis Grizzlies announced today Iowa Energy Head Coach Bob Donewald, Jr. will join the Grizzlies Summer League coaching staff as an assistant coach during the team's appearance in Orlando.

Donewald led the Energy to a 26-24 winning record during the 2014-15 season in his first season with the Energy. Prior to joining the Energy, he most recently served as head coach of the Chinese National Team (2010-12) coaching them in the 2012 London Olympics and spent three seasons in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) as head coach of the Shanghai Sharks (2009-11), owned by former NBA All-Star Yao Ming.

Memphis will be one of 10 teams competing in the 2015 Orlando Pro Summer League, hosted by the Orlando Magic, at the Amway Center practice court from July 4-10. The Grizzlies' summer league schedule includes games on Saturday, July 4 vs. Brooklyn, Sunday, July 5 vs. Charlotte, Tuesday, July 7 vs. Orlando (Blue) and Thursday, July 9 vs. Oklahoma City before competing in the designated championship day on Friday, July 10.
