
Iowa Announces Training Camp Roster

DES MOINES, IA- The Iowa Wild announced on Saturday the team's Training Camp Roster for the 2016-17 American Hockey League (AHL) season.
It marks the first training camp for new Head Coach Derek Lalonde (luh-loaned). The roster is composed of three goalies, nine defensemen and 16 forwards. It includes 14 players that suited up for Iowa previously. Ten rookies are on the Wild's initial training camp roster. The roster also features veteran forward Jeff Hoggan. The two-time Calder Cup champion is in camp on a tryout.
Goalies: Adam Vay, Steve Michalek and C.J. Motte
Defense: Guillaume Gelinas, Nick Seeler, Zach Palmquist, Maxime Fortunus, Alex Gudbranson, Andrew Panzarella, Blake Heinrich, Nolan Zajac and Jace Coyle.
Forwards: Adam Gilmour, Brady Brassart, Sam Warning, Pavel Jenys, Mario Lucia, Jeff Hoggan, Nick Saracino, Alex Petan, Grayson Downing, Marc Hagel, Colton Beck, Jack Nevins, Parker Bowles, Chris Francis, Michael Parks and Cody Bradley.
Iowa hosts the Green-White Scrimmage at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Wells Fargo Arena. Entry to the game is free for anyone who wants to attend. The team will hold a brief 30-minute full team autograph session after the scrimmage for all fans to attend.
The Wild practices at Wells Fargo Arena at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, before moving to Metro Ice for the next two days. Iowa practices at Metro on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 before departing for preseason games against Manitoba in North Dakota.
The Iowa Wild plays a pair of preseason games, both will be in North Dakota against the Manitoba Moose - the Winnipeg Jets AHL affiliate. Iowa and Manitoba meet at Scheels Arena in Fargo, ND on Sat., Oct. 8 at 7 P.M. The two teams will play a second preseason game at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, ND on Sun., Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.
The 2016-17 Iowa Wild regular season schedule begins on Oct. 14 and single-game tickets for the 2016-17 regular season are on sale now. Opening Night 2016 is set for Friday, Oct. 14 at Wells Fargo Arena, when the team opens a seven-game home stand.
The Iowa Wild 2016-17 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center: and runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2016-17 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $10 per game. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area.
