Quad City Steamwheelers News Release

There are many people in this world that have hidden talents, for some it's being double-jointed, others it could be a certain type of skill that they have. Well, Sunday night at Big Papa's Palace in East Moline, Ill. Quad City Steamwheelers Managing Owner/Operator and Inventor of Arena Football Jim Foster showcased his talents with his trumpets to a crowd of Steamwheelers fans and music lovers.

The promotion was initially set to promote the "Bud Bus Stop," a program that has been set-up by the Steamwheelers that allows fans to enjoy food and beverage specials at certain bars in the area, then hop on a bus that travels to all of these bars and "Ride the Bus to the Game" without having to worry about the driving. QB Tony Zimmerman, WR/DB Jeff Hewitt, K Paul Savich, head coach Rich Ingold, assistant coach Phil Hayek, assistant coach Ed Langford as well as many of the Steamwheelers front office staff were on hand, giving out posters and magnet schedules to the fans in attendance.

The band that was on display for the evening was "Bump City." After their first set, Foster was asked to join them for a few songs. Foster, who loves to play trumpet, was quick to join the band. It didn't take long for the crowd to get into the jams that Foster and "Bump City" were jamming out.

Foster played about four songs with the band before calling it a night, much to the displeasure of the crowd. "It seemed as if they didn't want me to stop," Foster said of the crowd who tried to keep him on stage for a little bit longer. "But I had a great time, it's one of my favorite things to do.

The night was a success and many fans enjoyed the entire evening. The night started at 7:00 p.m. with the majority of the crowd not leaving until 10:30-11:00 p.m. with their posters and magnet schedules.
