Intimidators Take Series Opener In Delmarva 3-1

Salisbury, MD - Gregory Infante made his first appearance for the Intimidators with four shutout innings and Henry Mabee earned his 10th save of the year to close things out in a 3-1 win for Kannapolis at Delmarva at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Kannapolis opened with the scoring with a two-out rally in the first frame. Christian Marrero tripled off the right field wall. Danny Jordan followed with a single into left field to make it 1-0.

The Intimidators put two more on the board in the fifth. Lyndon Estill, in his Intimidators debut, drove in Joe Persichina on a RBI double. Later in the inning, Estill scored on Christian Marrero's two-out single.

Infante started for the Intimidators with four shutout innings. Hector Santiago (2-0) followed with two scoreless frames for the win. After Wander Perez allowed the game?s only run in the seventh inning, Henry Mabee picked up his 10th save by picking up the final six outs for Kannapolis.

The Intimidators face the Shorebirds in a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 5:05pm. Kannapolis returns to Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium Saturday against Hagerstown to begin a four-game homestand on Fieldcrest Cannon Reunion Night.
