Kannapolis, NC: Kannapolis (12-43) was beaten 7-6 by Greenville (30-26) to conclude a four game series at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, Sunday evening. Greenville earned a series sweep with the win. The Intimidators fought back from 4-0 and 7-2 deficits. The I's were led at the plate by Fernando Valenuzela, who socked his first 2 homeruns as an Intimidator. Adam Ricks belted his 3rd dinger of the season. Derek Rodriguez (2-6) took the loss for the I's, allowing 7 runs in 5.2 IP. Out of the pen, Noe Rodriguez pitched 3.1 scoreless innings. Greenvilles SP Clay Buchholz (3-2) notched the win. Hunter Maxwell picked up his 5th save for the Drive.
Kannapolis begins a 4 game series with Asheville, Monday night at 7:05pm at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Daniel Cortes will toe the rubber for K-town.
