Inter Miami CF II to Visit New York City FC II in Midweek Action this Thursday

Inter Miami CF II (4W-13L-3D, 16 points) heads to New York this Thursday, August 10, for MLS NEXT Pro regular season action as the team gets ready to take on New York City FC II (8W-10L-2D, 26 points) at Belson Stadium at 8 p.m. ET.

The Herons will enter Thursday's fixture after drawing 1-1 against Orlando City B at DRV PNK Stadium and claiming the extra point in penalties. Inter Miami's goal during regulation was scored by Academy product and Homegrown winger Felipe Valencia, before midfielder Lucas Meek sealed the deal and gave Miami the win after putting away the winning penalty in the shootout.

NYCFC II, on the other hand, will be entering this week's matchup after falling 2-0 to Philadelphia Union II at Subaru Park.

The matchup will mark the first out of two meetings between the sides in the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro campaign.
