Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS - The Columbus Crew, in conjunction with RadiOhio, announced today that "Inside the Crew," the weekly news magazine show on 1460 ESPN Columbus, will return for a second season. It will move to Saturdays from 9-10 a.m., with the first show on tap for this Saturday, March 10 - the morning of the Crew's regular-season opener at Colorado.
"Inside the Crew has been a terrific addition to our media offerings and we look forward to continuing its development in year two," said Crew President & General Manager Mark McCullers. "Our affiliation with ESPN Columbus and The Fan has been extremely positive and we think the move to Saturday mornings will complement and further enhance the match-day experience for our fans."
"Inside the Crew" will continue to be hosted by Crew radio play-by-play announcer Neil Sika and TV analyst Duncan Oughton, the longest-serving player in club history. They are joined every week by compelling guests to talk about Crew soccer and the sport, as a whole, within our region.
"I believe moving the show to 9 a.m. Saturday strategically positions the Crew to bring in a much larger audience, and sets the tone with the fans the morning of a game," said Jay Taylor, Director of Programming and Operations for RadiOhio.
In addition to being available over the air on 1460 ESPN Columbus, it will also be simulcast on FM - HD radio at 97.1-2 (Channel 2).
