Inova Health System and the Washington Mystics Present Get Movin' Family Fun Day

Leesburg, VA - Inova Health System and the Washington Mystics are proud to announce "Get Movin' Family Fun Day", a celebration of National Family Health & Fitness Day. This family-oriented, community event will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 at the ProJet Aviation Hangar at Leesburg Executive Airport, 957 Sycolin Road, Leesburg, VA. Admission is free and open to kids of all ages and is easily accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. The event will take place rain or shine. Shuttle buses will transport people between designated parking and the event entrance, both the parking and shuttle buses are free.
"Get Movin' Family Fun Day" will feature Radio Disney's "Shake It Up" Dance Zone, come join in the fun of these high energy dance parties as we celebrate the Disney Channel Show. Actors will not be in attendance, this is a celebration of the Disney Channel Show.
Other activities celebrating health and fitness will include:
Washington Mystics player and mascot appearances
Radio Disney "warm up" zone for kids to practice and showcase their moves for a chance to win prizes
Younger kids will enjoy dance-a-longs and hula hoop games with music inspired by Radio Disney Junior
Healthy cooking demos and exhibits
Music that will get you movin'!
Indoor/outdoor fitness areas
Inflatables and basketball hoops for basketball challenges
The Fun Bus will offer fitness activities for younger kids
Face painting, strolling entertainment
Partner with us to show the children in our community that healthy living can be fun! This event is a great way to take charge of your family's health, get active together and learn to live well by making healthy choices.
The first 500 people to sign-in at the event will get an Inova/Washington Mystics backpack with one ticket to a 2012 Washington Mystics home game. All registrants will have the chance to win a Nintendo Wii gaming system and drawings for Radio Disney prize packs.
