Silver Stars Clinch Playoff Berth

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Silver Stars clinched its fifth-consecutive playoff berth with its 82-65 win against the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night at the STAPLES Center. Guard Becky Hammon led the Silver Stars with a season-best 37 points in the win - the team has qualified for the playoffs every season since Hammon's arrival in San Antonio in 2007.

The Silver Stars franchise has qualified for the playoffs seven times, including the last five-straight seasons. The team has a 9-17 overall record in playoff history, including a 7-12 record since the team relocated to San Antonio in 2003.

San Antonio currently sits in fourth-place in the Western Conference standings with the potential to secure the third spot prior to the end of the regular season. Minnesota, Seattle and Phoenix have also secured playoff bids in the West while Indiana, Connecticut, Atlanta and New York have qualified in the East.
