
Inferno Captain Returns to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (June 21, 2007) - Head Coach Troy Mann announced that the Columbia Inferno have agreed to terms with center Brad Ralph for the 2007-08 season.
Ralph, 6'2, 190 lbs., Richmond, Ontario native enters his third season with the Inferno. He was the team's second leading scorer in 2004-05 and 2006-07 with 53 points each. He scored 27 goals and 26 assists in 2004-05 and added 20 goals and 33 assists last season for the Inferno. Ralph has played for the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Augusta Lynx and the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL during his professional career. He also spent time in the American Hockey League with the Springfield Falcons where he appeared in 66 games, scoring 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points. He did appear in one NHL game with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2000 registering no points.
"Brad is an excellent signing for our organization. He is a big, strong center who can contribute in all facets of the game," said Coach Troy Mann. "A fan favorite with the Inferno, Brad will be counted on as one of our marquee players this season. As captain of our hockey club, I expect Brad to lead our team on and off the ice. In addition, I think Brad's experience with the Hershey Bears during the Calder Cup playoffs will help promote a winning atmosphere in our locker room."
He played for the Aalborg IK team in in the 2005-06 season, where he had eight goals and 13 assists in 35 games.
Season and partial ticket packages are now on sale for the 2007-08 season by calling 256-7825 or visiting the Inferno website at www.columbiainferno.com. The Inferno opens the home season on Friday, October 26th against the Augusta Lynx at 7:05pm.
