COLUMBIA, S.C. (July 10, 2007) - Head Coach Troy Mann has announced that defenseman Tim Songin has agreed to terms for the 2007-08 season.

Songin, 6'5", 225 lbs., played 72 games with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL last season. He scored two goals and 14 assists for 16 points and 86 penalty minutes. The 26-year-old Hamburg, New York native played collegiate hockey with Canisius College from 2002-2006, recording his best season his senior year scoring 13 points (3g-10a) and 46 penalty minutes in 35 games.

"Tim is a defenseman who brings a physical element to our hockey team," said Coach Mann. "He will add size to our lineup and makes our team more difficult to play against, especially at home on a smaller ice sheet."

Season, partial and group tickets are now on sale for the 2007-08 season by calling 256-7825 or visiting the Inferno website at www.columbiainferno.com. The Inferno home opener is on Friday, October 26th against the Augusta Lynx at 7:05pm.
