(Dayton, OH) -- Wright State University's Ervin J. Nutter Center has been voted the 2007 10th Best Minor League Ballpark or Arena in North America by the Minor League News. The "Best" contenders included all professional venues in minor and independent baseball, hockey, football and basketball. The votes came from fans in all sports to decide the minor-league facilities the fans love, not only overall, but for the best venue features, the best food, and the most fun.
Tying for 10th place were also the AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, home of the PCL Oklahoma RedHawks, and the Ford Arena, home ice of the CHL Texas Wildcatters in Beaumont, Texas.
John Siehl, the Nutter Center's Executive Director, states "To be recognized by our hockey fans as one of the best arenas in the nation to attend a sporting event is quite an honor. Our staff works hard to put on first-class sporting and entertainment events 365 days a year; we are happy the fans acknowledge our high level of customer service and dedication to making all events at the Nutter Center an enjoyable experience."
The Ervin J. Nutter Center, a state-of-the-art facility, is home to NCAA Division 1 Wright State Athletics and ECHL Dayton Bombers Hockey. The Nutter Center at Wright State University is southwest Ohio's premier sports and entertainment complex.
