INF Dan Black Promoted to Charlotte

The Birmingham Barons and Chicago White Sox have announced that INF Dan Black has been promoted to Class AAA Charlotte. In a corresponding move, INF Christian Marrero has been activated from the disabled list. Roster at 25.

Black, 27, was transferred to Birmingham on June 27th. In 17 games with the Barons he hit .292 (19-for-65) with three home runs, seven runs scored and 13 RBI. He began the season with the Knights hitting .246 (33-for-134) with five home runs, 17 runs scored and 14 RBI in 38 games.

Marrero, 27, was placed on the disabled list on June 4th. In 30 games with the Barons this season, he's hitting .302 (29-for-96) with six home runs, 19 runs scored and 25 RBI. Prior to being placed on the disabled list, Marrero led the Barons in home runs.
