
Indy Alley Cats land in heart of Indianapolis, schedule tryouts

Indianapolis, IN. Owner Rob Blackwell has been awarded one of the the 50+ American Basketball Association (ABA) market reservations for the upcoming season that begins in November. "With our business experience and sports knowledge, we feel very proud that the ABA will allow us to share this fast-paced, exciting brand of basketball and entertainment at a value that a family can afford," stated Blackwell. "We know that Indiana is the home of basketball and we want to be able to offer a fan friendly community oriented professional basketball organization. With the Alley Cats, our local businesses and communities can come together to enjoy an exciting night out as a family and have a taste of professional basketball close up."
The first tryouts for the team that begins play in November will be held August 6th and 7th at the Indiana Fieldhouse located at 11825 Technology Drive in Fishers. (Call 317 842 2255 for directions). Bring your A game and take the next step in being a professional basketball player. Saturday's session will run from 8am-4pm, Sunday's from 8am-2pm. The Indy Alley Cats will announce its home venue, schedule, additional tryouts, dance team tryouts, and other information shortly. Blackwell added, "Indianapolis is the home of the ABA - the place where Roger Brown, Freddie Lewis, Mel Daniels, Bob Netolicky, Rick Mount, George McGinnis, Darnell Hillman and others started the red, white and blue ball and the three point play. It was exciting then - it will be exciting now and we want to thank the fans in advance for your support. We welcome your opinions also as this will be your team."
