Indomitable Gear, Indomitable Cause: Republic FC Charity Auction to Benefit Super Fritz & Friends Fund

Throughout September, Republic FC - along with founding partner UC Davis Health - is joining soccer clubs around the country to raise awareness of childhood cancer and supporting patients and their families, who demonstrate every day what it means to be Indomitable.

Beginning today, Republic FC fans and community members can bid on authentic player worn training tops and team memorabilia. All proceeds from the auction sales will benefit the Super Fritz & Friends Fund, which supports childhood cancer patients and families undergoing treatment at the UC Davis Health Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Special details on the training top were drawn by Riley Blum, Fritz Stark, and Emily Love - three childhood cancer survivors who were treated at UC Davis Health. Elements include the word "hope," along with Republic FC's crest and the UC Davis Health Logo. Also featured are a gold ribbon (the international awareness symbol for Childhood Cancer) and the word "Indomitable" - a nod to one of Republic FC's core values and the unconquerable spirit shown by the young artists during their cancer fight.

The auction is open now through September 30 at 4:00 p.m.

Fans can also purchase the Fritz & Friends Scarf, which was unveiled earlier in September to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The scarf was also designed by Blum, Stark, and Love, and features many of the same elements as the training tops. It is available now at the Republic FC Team Store, and proceeds will benefit the Super Fritz & Friends Fund.

About the Super Fritz & Friends Fund

Fritz was diagnosed with Leukemia at age two and went on to receive treatment at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. To show their gratitude for his care, Fritz's parents and friends established the fund in 2019 to subsidize a new staff position that would enhance resources for families battling pediatric cancer. Super Fritz & Friends met its original goal in November 2021, and now works to fund additional services - including lodging assistance, insurance coordination, and financial aid for essential needs like groceries and transportation.
