Indianapolis, IN (June 27, 2015) - The Syracuse Chiefs dropped the second game of a three-game series to the Indianapolis Indians, 4-0, Saturday night at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis. The Indians homered twice on the way to a second straight win to start the series.

Indianapolis (45-31) scored its first three runs on home runs. In the first inning, Jaff Decker doubled against Chiefs spot starter Paolo Espino with two outs. Brent Morel followed with a two-run home run, his third straight game with a home run, to give the Indians a 2-0 lead. Three innings later, John Bowker homered deep to right field, again with two outs, to give Indianapolis a 3-0 edge. In the first two games of the series, 10 of Indianapolis' first 12 runs came with two outs.

Syracuse (26-50) surrendered a fourth run in the sixth. Espino walked Decker with one out to start the inning. After a Morel single, Steve Lombardozzi singed up the middle, scoring Decker to give the Indians a 4-0 lead.

Syracuse and Indianapolis return to Victory Field for the finale of the three-game series Sunday afternoon. Taylor Hill is scheduled to start for the Chiefs opposite Clayton Richard for the Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m.
