Pigs Try to Bounce Back against Bats

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to snap a two-game skid when they host the Louisville Bats on Saturday night. First pitch from Coca-Cola Park is slated for 6:35 p.m.

RHP Jason Berken (4-4, 3.70) gets the ball for the Pigs on Saturday. The right-hander got the win in his last start on June 19 vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as he gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits to go along with a walk and three strikeouts in five innings of work. Berken will be making his second start of the year against Louisville. Back on May 5, he got the win as he gave up one run on four hits while walking two and fanning six in 5.0 IP.

RHP Dylan Axelrod (4-5, 4.31) will be on the bump for manager Delino DeShields' squad. Axelrod allowed two runs on five hits to go along with a walk and five strikeouts in 6.1 IP when he earned the win last time out on Monday at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Santa Barbara, Calif. native was tagged with the loss against the Pigs on May 5 at Louisville Slugger Field as he surrendered six runs on 11 hits in 4.2 IP. In his career, Axelrod is 1-1 with a 7.25 ERA (22.1 IP/18 ER) over 5 GS vs. Lehigh Valley.

There will be a Fireworks display presented by Coordinated Health following the game. There is also Food Drive assisted by Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley benefitting Second Harvest Food Bank. In the Bud Light Trough, there will be live music for one hour following the final out.
