Indians return to Victory Field for busy homestand

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians begin their seventh homestand of 2006 on Thursday when Buffalo comes to Victory Field for a 7 p.m. contest. The stretch continues through July 20 with four games against the Bisons (July 13-16) and four versus the Norfolk Tides (July 17-20).

Thurs., July 13 -- Buffalo @ 7:00 p.m. * Bob the Builder Appearance -- Bob the Builder will be on hand to entertain fans throughout the night. The appearance is sponsored by Delta Faucet.

Fri., July 14 -- Buffalo @ 7:00 p.m. * Friday Night Fireworks --Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks spectacular courtesy of Pepsi, Crystal Flash and HANK-FM.

* WISH-TV Night -- The WISH-TV Weather Team will be on hand to take part in on-field promotions throughout the evening.

Sat., July 15 -- Buffalo @ 7:00 p.m. * Max Schumacher Celebration -- Help the Indians honor team president Max Schumacher for his 50 years of service during a pre-game ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Several dignitaries and former coaches/players will be on hand for the special event.

* BirdZerk Appearance -- BirdZerk, one the wildest and craziest shows in all of sports, will be on hand to perform skits and sign autographs. The appearance is sponsored by Pepsi and Clarian Health Partners.

* Bart and Homer Simpson Appearance -- Bart and Homer Simpson will entertain the crowd throughout the night courtesy of WTTV-TV.

Sun., July 16 -- Buffalo @ 2:00 p.m. * Stadium Replica Giveaway -- Help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Victory Field as the first 4,000 fans receive a Victory Field Stadium Replica courtesy of Ivy Tech, Marathon, WTHR-TV and WFMS-FM.

* Autographs and Knot Hole Run -- Select players will sign autographs on the concourse from 12:45-1:15 p.m. and members of the Pepsi-Comcast Indians Knot Hole Club are invited to run the bases after the game.

Mon., July 17 -- Norfolk @ 7:00 p.m. * Monday Dollar Menu -- Hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, Cracker Jack® and potato chips are available for just $1 each.

Tues., July 18 -- Norfolk @ 7:00 p.m. * Children's Museum Night -- Members of the Children's Museum receive 2-for-1 admission by showing a valid membership card at the Victory Field Box Office.

* RBI Baseball Night -- Fans can also receive 2-for-1 admission by picking up RBI Baseball coupons at Garfield Park.

Wed., July 19 -- Norfolk @ 2:00 p.m. * Business Day Game -- Bring your office out to Victory Field for the special 2 p.m. contest.

* Great Clips Charity Hair Cuts-- Great Clips Hair Stylists will be on the concourse giving hair cuts for $10. The money will be donated to the National Alliance for Autism Research.

* Disability Awareness Day-- Exceptional Parent will be hosting Disability Awareness Day at Victory Field.

Thurs., July 20 -- Norfolk @ 7:00 p.m.

The Tribe wraps up an eight-game homestand and stretch of 22 home games in 29 days by squaring off with the New York Mets' Triple-A Affiliate.
