SPOKANE, WA - The Spokane Indians and Texas Rangers announced today that they have agreed to a two-year extension of their player development contract, extending the current agreement through the end of the 2010 season.
The Indians and Rangers first entered into a player development contract prior to the start of the 2003 season. In the six years with the Rangers, the Indians have compiled a 231-216 record, have won two Northwest League Championships (2003 and 2005) and will go for their third later this week. With manager Tim Hulett at the helm the last two seasons, the Indians have compiled a 82-67 record with two games remaining in the 2008 regular season.
"We are extremely pleased with how the previous six seasons have gone and look forward to at least two more year's of affiliation with the Rangers" said Spokane Indians Managing Partner Bobby Brett. "The Rangers are a great organization and have put a quality product on the field for the fans here in Spokane."
