
Indians Option Catcher Rose to Herd

The Cleveland Indians today announced that catcher Mike Rose has been optioned to the Buffalo Bisons.
Rose, 30, spent the entire Spring with the Cleveland Indians and hit .267 (8-30) with four doubles, three RBI and eight runs scored. He spent most of last season with Triple-A Memphis of the Pacific Coast League and hit .262 (71-271) with 15 home runs and 36RBI in 82 games. He also played 10 games with the St. Louis Cardinals with two hits in nine at-bats (1RBI).
