INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians are proud to introduce, Is this thing on?, a new Tribe blog by broadcaster Scott McCauley. The blog will give fans a new and comprehensive look into the upcoming season of Indianapolis Indians baseball.
From opening day until the final pitch the blog will provide an avenue for fans to hear from players and learn about stops from around the International League. With his weekly posts Scott will lend an insider's view along with his baseball insight into Indians baseball throughout the 2009 season .
Is this thing on?, also allows fans to participate and react to Scott's entries or interviews by signing in and posting their comments.
In his first entry McCauley talked with 2008 Indianapolis Indians MVP Neil Walker, who is currently taking part in Pirates' Spring Training in Bradenton, Florida. Scott and Neil discuss everything from Indians and Pirates baseball to winter vacations and the Super Bowl.
McCauley is going into his fourth season as a radio broadcaster and third year as a ticket sales executive for the Indians. He joined Howard Kellman in the Tribe's broadcast booth in 2006 after spending three years at ESPN-950 AM.
