
Indianapolis Posts 7-5 Victory Over Norfolk

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Designated hitter Chris Duffy and left fielder Jonel Pacheco combined to go 4-for-6 with a double, homer, two walks, three runs and three RBI as Indianapolis registered a 7-5 win over Norfolk Friday afternoon at Pirate City.
Duffy (2-for-3, 2 R, 1 RBI) sparked a three-run fourth with a lead-off single, while Pacheco (2-for-3, 1 R, 2 RBI) highlighted a two-run fifth with a two-run homer.
Indianapolis RHP Mike Burns (3.0 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 SO) picked up the win, while Norfolk RHP Hayden Penn (4.0 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 1 SO) suffered the loss.
LF Kennard Jones, who played at Indiana University in 2002, belted a seventh-inning solo dinger for the Tides. Norfolk added four runs in the ninth after falling behind by six, but it wasn't enough.
RHP Byung-Hyun Kim and RHP Charles Benoit both fired 1-2-3 innings with one strikeout for the Tribe.
