Indiana Fever News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever have acquired a 2017 second-round draft pick from the Atlanta Dream, in exchange for fourth-year point guard Layshia Clarendon. The pick originally belonged to the New York Liberty, but was recently acquired by the Dream.

Clarendon completed three seasons with the Fever, including a trip to the 2015 WNBA Finals. She averaged 6.7 points and 2.0 assists per game for Indiana last season. She was originally selected by the Fever with the No. 9 selection in the 2013 WNBA Draft.

"I want to thank Layshia for her years of service with the Indiana Fever," said President and General Manager Kelly Krauskopf. "We wish her luck in her career and success in Atlanta."

A WNBA playoff participant in 11 straight seasons and 12 times since 2002, the Indiana Fever have reached at least the conference finals eight times in the past 11 years - including WNBA Finals appearances in 2009 and 2015, and a WNBA championship in 2012. The Fever tip off the 2016 regular season with a three-game homestand that begins Saturday, May 14 against Dallas (6:00 p.m.).
