Stars Celebrate WNBA 20th Anniversary During May 14 Season Opener

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Stars will begin a historic season celebrating two decades of the WNBA on Saturday, May 14 when they host the Atlanta Dream at 7 p.m. inside the AT&T Center. Former Stars players will be back in the AT&T Center to tip off the WNBA's 20th anniversary on opening night, and the first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive Stars throwback jersey t-shirts. The 2016 Stars season opener is presented by St. Philip's College.

Tickets for opening night start at just $10 at SAStars.com. Every Saturday and Sunday at the AT&T Center this summer is a Family Funday presented by News 4 and Fox 29. Ticket packages start at just $13 and include a ticket and a meal combo voucher.

In celebration of its historic 20th season, the WNBA unveiled the "Watch Me Work" campaign in January to showcase the growth of the league and the success of its players through determination and competitive spirit. Each of the WNBA's 12 teams will highlight the landmark anniversary throughout the season. Follow the celebration through the hashtag #WatchMeWork.

Individual tickets to San Antonio Stars games throughout the 2016 season start at just $10 and are available at all San Antonio Ticketmaster locations, including by phone at (210) 225-TEAM, or online at ticketmaster.com or SAStars.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the AT&T Center Box Office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on weekend event days five hours prior to tip off, or by calling (210) 444-5090.
