
Indiana comes alive in second half to down Xplosion 133-107

PITTSBURGH, December 20, 2006 - The Indiana AlleyCats (4-5) erupted for 43 third quarter points to break open a game that was tied at intermission and defeat the Pittsburgh Xplosion (0-7) in Continental Basketball Association action at the WigWam. Frank Barr paced the Xplosion with 25 points in just his second game with Pittsburgh .
The game was tight throughout the opening 24 minutes of play as the teams were knotted 32-32 after one quarter and again at 60-60 at intermission. The clubs split the available quarter points in the first half, each coming away with one point after halving the quarter.
Indiana cama alive in the second half outscoring the Black and Gold 43-23 in the third quarter, before coasting to the 133-107 victory. Carl Edwards finished with 41 points for the AlleyCats. Indiana captured six of seven quarter points.
After a short trip to Indiana , the Xplosion return home on Saturday, December 23 to host the Albany Patroons at Mellon Arena at 7:05 PM.
