Independence Military Appreciation Jersey Auction Now Live

Charlotte (NC) - The Charlotte Independence professional soccer team will wear special Military Appreciation jerseys during the Saturday, May 11th game versus Loudoun United FC presented by Famous Toastery. Fans can now bid on each Independence players' game-worn, autographed jerseys with a portion of the auction proceeds going to the American Legion. The auction will run through Monday, May 13th until 11:59 PM ET.
In an effort to honor all who serve, the sleeve Military Appreciation jerseys features individual names of local Charlotte-area American Legion Members and their spouse. Those members will be honored by Famous Toastery and the Charlotte Independence during halftime on May 11th. The jersey also features a MultiCam camo pattern, replicating the current design used for United States Military uniforms.
In appreciation of the greater Military community, the Independence are offering $6.00 off regular-priced tickets for former and current Military members. Tickets can be purchased using groupmatics.events/cltmilitary with promo code "MILITARY" or at the box office on gameday. Military Appreciation tickets must be presented with a Military ID at the gate. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on will receive a special Military Appreciation Night rally towel.
The Charlotte Independence professional soccer team next home gate will host the Florida Soccer Soldiers on Tuesday, May 14th at the Sportsplex at Matthews in the Second Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The event will be open to the community with free admission for the game. Food and beverage vendors will be on-site, the same as a typical Independence regular-season game. Gates will open at 6:00 PM ET and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
