OKLAHOMA CITY - Energy FC have signed midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson, pending league and federation approval, Head Coach Steve Cooke announced today. Watson joins OKC after spending the 2018 season with the Charlotte Independence of the USL Championship, where he made 21 appearances and scored one goal.

Prior to his time in the USL Championship, Watson played in Major League Soccer from 2011-17, where he made 160 appearances with the Houston Dynamo, FC Dallas and the New England Revolution. Watson also has 79 caps with the Jamaica national team and has scored four goals for the Reggae Boyz.

"We're thrilled to add Je-Vaughn", said Cooke. "He has been a Major League Soccer player for quite a number of years and has played for Jamaica over 70 times. He's a great player with great experience, and he's also incredibly versatile which will allow him to play in a number of positions for us. He's been fun to be around so far and is going to be a great teammate."

Energy FC are on the road this weekend, as they travel to take on Austin Bold FC, Friday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. CDT at Bold Stadium in Austin, Texas.
