In a rain soaked middle game between the Quebec Capitales and New Jersey Jackals, the Jackals knotted the series with a 7-5 victory on Saturday night.

Before the rain came, Jackals center fielder David Harris hit a thunderous home run himself, hitting a two run shot in the first inning for his 19th of the season to give the road squad a 2-0 lead.

Quebec center fielder Nick Van Stratten hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning to plate the Caps first run.

Later, short stop Yordan Manduley cut the lead to one with an RBI single.

Despite turf at Stade Canac, a rain delay halted action for about one hour and twenty minutes.

Carlos Triunfel added to the Jackals lead with an RBI groundout in the top of the fourth inning to make it 4-2, Jackals.

Oldham then grounded out to short stop which resulted in Seth Spivey coming across for New Jersey's fifth run of the night.

The Caps once again cut the deficit to one run with a two run fifth inning.

TJ White delivered a solo home run followed by an Adam Ehrlich single to drive in James McOwen.

Two wild pitches by Mike Hopple in the eight inning however resulted in two huge insurance runs for the Jackals.

John Reuttiger first came home on the errant pitch followed by Daniel Canela plating the seventh run.

Quebec tried to claw back in the bottom of the ninth against Vin Mazzaro.

Zach Wilson lined a double to bring home White and make a two run ball game at 7-5.

Mazzaro induced a huge 1-2-3 double play with the bases loaded, and got pinch hitter Brad Antchak to strike out though, ending the five hour and four minute contest.

New Jersey looks for the series win on August 5 at 1:05.

This will conclude an extended six game road trip for the Jackals before heading back home to Yogi Berra Stadium on August 7.
