Today marks the first anniversary of Major League Soccer announcing Republic FC will join the league as its 29th expansion club.

The club is celebrating this banner day in city history with a few community partnerships and revisiting recent announcements connected to the Railyards Stadium.

Earlier today, Republic FC announced a partnership with the Sacramento County Office of Education to provide free resources for parents, teachers and students in distance learning environments.

"Republic P.E." is a series of brief, physical education enrichment videos produced by Republic FC in partnership with SCOE. Pro and academy players and team staff from Sacramento's professional soccer club lead students in grade appropriate lessons.

Students can participate in the virtual P.E. lessons through their mobile devices and computers, and on select cable providers through the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium.

Workout segments will air Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30pm on SECC Comcast 15 and CCI 21 through the end of November - and on demand online.

The lessons are in partnership with SCOE and leading PE teachers from around the County, and range from ninety-seconds to ten minutes in length, depending on the targeted age group.

On Friday, the club will open nominations for Republic FC Kickstart - a program to support small, local businesses that have been impacted by the pandemic. On Friday, fans and the community at-large can nominate LatinX-owned businesses throughout the region to be considered to receive a share of a $10,500 grant pool.

Nominations will run through Friday, November 6 and can be submitted at

Nominations are available in English and Spanish.

The Republic FC Kickstart program will again award a $5,000 grand prize grant, as well as a $2,500 and three $1,000 grants to small businesses in the greater Sacramento Region.

Yesterday, Republic FC began accepting deposits for its luxury suite product at Railyards Stadium.

Fans can place a refundable / transferrable deposit to receive priority selection status when suites and seats go on sale next year.

With only 27 units available, it is expected that Railyards Stadium suites will be in high demand therefore, it is highly encouraged for those companies and individuals interested in learning more.

The stadium's premium suite level, located just 20 rows from the pitch will provide guests a truly bespoke event day experience focused on featuring the best sightlines, food and beverage offerings, and unmatched attention and service for 8 to 14 guests.
