The Detroit Ignition officially opened training camp on Monday, September 24, the club announced today. The team will be practicing daily from 10 a.m. to noon at High Velocity Sports in Canton, MI.
The Ignition will travel to Milwaukee October 5-6 to take part in the Milwaukee Wave's Preseason Classic. The preseason tournament will mark the first appearance of the expansion Orlando Sharks, who join the league for the 2007-08 season. Also making their MISL debut in 2007 are the New Jersey Ironmen and Monterrey La Raza.
The Detroit Ignition is a member club of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and begins the team's second season in November 2007 after advancing to the MISL Championship Finals during the 2006-07 season.
