Ignite Ends Road Trip with Win in Frisco, 99-82

FRISCO, Texas. - NBA G League Ignite (11-16) picked up its second-straight victory after defeating the Texas Legends (6-20), 99-82, on Sunday at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.

John Jenkins led the way for Ignite after finishing with 23 points on 9-of-14 shots from the field, including 3-of-5 from the three-point line. Jenkins notched his thirteenth 20-point performance, which set an Ignite record for the most 20-point games in a single season. Leonard Miller followed with 18 points and a career-high 21 rebounds. Miller's 21 rebounds set an Ignite record for the most rebounds in a single game. Babacar Sane added 12 points and five rebounds, while London Johnson and Pooh Jeter pitched in 11 points apiece.

Ignite alum Amauri Hardy paced the Legends with 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds on 10-of-19 shots from the field. Kalob Ledoux recorded 18 points, four rebounds and two assists, while A.J. Lawson and Justin Jackson poured in 11 points each.

Ignite took a 16-point lead at halftime after shooting 51.2 percent from the field in the first half. John Jenkins poured in 14 of his 23 points in the opening period on 6-ot-8 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 from the three-point line. Ignite continued its hot shooting performance in the second quarter to outscore the Legends 31-16 in the frame. Ignite picked up the defensive intensity to hold the Legends to 16 points on 37.5 percent shooting from the field and 26.1 percent from the three-point line.

Ignite extended its lead to the largest of the game, 23, in the second half after shooting at a 50 percent clip from the field, including 75 percent from behind the arc in that span. The Legends finished with 82 points, the lowest point total that Ignite has held an opponent this season. Ignite held the advantage in rebounds (47-42) and assists (21-18).
