
IFL Meetings to be Held in New Orleans

Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to be kicking off the 2011 Season with Owners and Coaches meetings in New Orleans! IFL directors and coaches will travel to the Big Easy this week to meet and discuss plans for the upcoming 2011 season.
The Indoor Football League is very excited to get the third season underway. 2011 is shaping up to be the most competitive in league history as 22 teams will be vying for the United Bowl Championship. During the meetings, team directors and coaches will be discussing rules, operations, and other immediate procedures to bring the fast paced excitement to its fans for not only this season but for many years to come. "We are very excited to get another season off to a great start" said IFL Commissioner, Tommy Benizio. "Heading into our 3rd season, the IFL is stronger now than ever and I believe 2011 will be our most successful to date."
Included in the long list of participating team owners and coaches will be three of the five-man ownership group from the recently-sold Kent Predators. This will give the IFL's newest owners an opportunity to hit the ground running as they prepare for their season opener just under two-months from now.
The Indoor Football League Pre-Season Meetings will begin tomorrow Wednesday, January 12, 2011 and conclude Friday afternoon. The IFL season begins on February 19, 2011 when the La Crosse Spartans host the Chicago Slaughter in the IFL Kick-off Classic.
The Indoor Football League was created in 2008 from a merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football Association. It consists of 22 teams located across the United States from Alaska to Richmond, VA.
