IF Travis Denker Added to Catfish Roster

Columbus, GA - The Catfish have placed IF Dominique Laurin on the disabled list retroactive to June 8. Laurin played in just two games with Columbus while battling an injured right knee. The roster spot will be filled by IF Travis Denker, coming from the Vero Beach Dodgers (A).

In 2005 with Columbus Denker batted .310 with 21 home runs, 23 doubles, 68 RBI and 65 runs in 101 games. He was the starting second baseman for the South Atlantic League All-Star team. Denker posted four multi-homer games with the Catfish.

Denker will join Columbus in Savannah as the Catfish continue a four-game series with the Sand Gnats. Next Columbus will travel to Rome for three games with the Braves.
