
Cory Wade Earns BC Powder SAL Pitcher of the Week

Columbus, GA - With one shining performance RHP Cory Wade earned the BC Powder South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 5 through 11.
Against Savannah on Wednesday, June 7, the day after being named a South Atlantic League All-Star, Wade allowed just one base runner in nine shutout innings of work. After giving up a double to the second batter, Wade retired the last 26 Sand Gnats in a row. In addition, he struck out a season-high 11 and picked up his third win.
This season Wade has compiled a 4-2 record with a 3.60 ERA. In 65 innings he has allowed just 58 hits and seven walks.
Monday the Catfish won game one of a four-game series in Savannah. Next Columbus will travel to Rome for three games with the Braves.
